Hello friends and family
the last couple of weeks have been absolutely amazing, God has blessed our team in so many ways. The first week we were in Georgia preparing to go out on the field, I surrendered many things to God so he can use me to do his will. The food here in Kenya is amazing and the women serve us happily. I have already built relationships in the hospital, Kijabe, Kurtana, and 2 schools. On Saturday we our going to visit the IDP camp, the have girls as young as 15 who are pregnant because there is little to do there.
In Turkana I was able to visit with the Maasai tribe and Turkana people. The biggest prayer requests I found there were for rain because it has not rained in two years, Swahilli Bibles to feed there souls, and Jobs to feed there families.
Last week we met with the elders of the church for lunch, and on Monday I was visiting with a family when we got the news that one of the elder ladies we has met past away, a few of us went to the house to be with the family, there was tears, but it seemed to be more of a celebration of life that they knew she was going to be with Jesus.
Last week when we got here we learned it had not rained for 4 months, so we began to pray for rain without ceasing, God answered our prayer on Friday night during our debrief when we were bringing up things that would better unify our team and make us stronger missionaries. It rained, and most every night since then it has rained. God answers prayer if you believe he will.
(first rain fall in Kijabe)
My new favorite African food is Mandazi , a delicious bread.
Something I have learned on this trip is that the Kingdom is here on earth, when I am holding a child’s hand I am holding Jesus hand.
I am looking forward to my next month here.  I have a lot of pictures but I brought the wrong AV cord with me so I can not upload them until I get home

God Bless and thank you for your prayers
